The Yuki Onna is often considered the personification of Winter, blizzards, cold, their dangers and beauty.
Yuki Onna are said to dispatch of their victims with their cold icy breath, which one could compare to death by hypothermia. Yuki Onna are a part of Japanese folklore, that still influences modern pop culture, they can often be found in manga, anime, and videogames.
While there are some variations in the Yuki Onna depictions, they are often very pale and beautiful with very long hair, that is either black or white.
My interpretation differs a bit from tradition, Yuki Onna almost always wear thin white kimono, I also wanted to add a more monstrous element while still retaining her beauty. I did this by adding icicles as her teeth and claws. I also added slight frostbite to remind the viewer of not just the danger of the Yuki Onna herself, but the dangers of the extreme cold that she represents.
